Growing the Kalitta Family Holdings

Doug Kalitta Holdings has steadily expanded its aviation services over the years, beginning with the establishment of Kalitta Charters, a Part 135 airline in Ypsilanti, Michigan. In 2001, the company broadened its capabilities by acquiring Kalitta Turbines, a Part 145 repair station in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and DK Turbines, another Part 145 repair station located in Hollister, California. Two years later, in 2003, Kalitta Charters II, a Part 121 airline, was added to the growing family, further enhancing its aviation offerings.

In 2015, AirNet II, a Part 135 airline and Part 145 repair station based in Columbus, Ohio, became part of Doug Kalitta Holdings. This acquisition not only expanded the Kalitta family’s charter services but also positioned them as a leader in the transport of radiopharmaceuticals and life sciences across the U.S. and Canada, enhancing their extensive resources to cover all aviation needs from turbine repairs to avionics installations, with charter options ranging from a Beechcraft Baron to a Boeing 737.
